Ballet

Pre-K Movement is a building block class before Ballet 1. This class will be focused on developing body awareness, movement, mobility, and muscle memory. Ballet elements are incorporated in the curriculum. Pre-K Movement is a recital class.

Ballet 1 is structured for students age 7-10. Core elements of this class are learning ballet terms, combinations, proper technique, and prepare for the spring recital. We will work on balance, range of motion, and begin to develop flexibility. We will introduce barre work in this class.

Ballet 2 is designed for ages 10-14. The goal is to build on skills learned in Ballet 1 to progress with turns, leaps, jumps, and traveling steps.

All ballet classes will require ballet slippers not pointe shoes.

Adult Dance

Adult Dance is a fusion of flexibility/ mobility training with Jazz and Hip Hop choreography. All of my dances are adaptable to meet the needs of my students. This class was built to be confidence boosting and fun! All you will need are comfortable exercise wear and tennis shoes. I do ask that street shoes are not to be worn on the dance floor to protect the floor and my dancer's feet.

Tap: Ages 10+

I teach tap technique at a pace that is challenging but with the skill level of students. I'm not afraid to start from scratch when it comes to dance. Learning the basics creates a strong base for attempting more complicated steps. We'll tap to tradition jazz and modern pop music to keep some variety.
